The County Has Received My Ballot

By Daddy

Las Vegas — My ballot went into the ballot box on Saturday and today I received an email telling me that they have received it. Which probably explains the surge in votes we are seeing today. That's how long it took for them to wade through the avalange of ballets that came in from the weekend.

According to the U.S. Elections Project Total Early Votes: 43,161,277. Nationally, voters have cast 31.3% of the total votes counted in the 2016 general election.

Your vote is important! If you're in one of those states that mailed you a ballot to fill it out, do so, put it in its envelope, and sign the certification on the outside. Then take it to your polling place. You don't need to trust USPS to get it that last mile.

Went for the CROW boot today and he took a inch off the top. What a difference that made! The problem was that I could only bend my leg to 90° and I needed just a bit more. I'm now able to get out of my workstation chair and the car with a lot less problems.

As is usual as we head into the holidays, money gets tight however October appears to be taken care of. To all those that have donated, Thank you for your donations!. Any help is appreciated. Here's a link to the How to Donate Page

Dolly Parton Turned Stephen Colbert Into a Weeping Mess

By Andy Towle

Cyberspace — Living legend Dolly Parton stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Tuesday night to deliver some news about a new book she has written called Songteller: My Life in Lyrics. During the interview, Colbert asked Parton about songs her late mother used to sing to her, and Parton launched into an a cappella version of “Bury Me Beneath the Willow“. As the camera cut back to Colbert his reaction progressed from goosebumps to full-on tears, before Parton stopped her singing and said, “Oh, you’re crying? I better hush before you cry yourself to death and we can’t finish the show.” (More)

I Still Don't Know Who I Am

Broadway — Nearly three years ago, and about 14 years after I became the reluctant recipient of the title “that gay kid from School of Rock,” I decided to do a figurative coin flip on the way I was approaching my life. It was a gamble, but I knew I could either stick with the side of the coin I was already familiar (and unhappy) with: running away from my own self and hiding behind exhausting expectations, destructive relationships, and menial social approval. Or I could find out what’s on the other side. (More)

Amy Coney Barrett Still Won’t Answer Really Obvious Question

By Jennifer Bendery

Washington — Supreme Court nominees don’t like to answer questions about how they feel about one issue or another. They want to at least appear impartial and convey that they will decide cases based entirely on the law. But Amy Coney Barrett’s stunning refusal in her Senate confirmation hearing to answer basic questions ? ones that have obvious, fact-based answers ? is also on display in her written responses to senators’ follow-up questions.
